Value Security. This is a sense of being anchored and feeling rooted. This could be secure within ourselves, secure in a relationship. Other ways that we have security in this world are through status symbols, homes, jobs. We’re in this era where things are changing so quickly with a generation that is not as attached to their things and choosing more experiences. We have to ask ourselves what does security mean then? Being able to choose where we can live and travel, having skills that are transferrable and marketable in a quickly evolving global economy, confidence that we can leverage our income and talents into a lifestyle of shared experiences? Don’t underestimate the power of this value. Entire kingdoms have risen and fallen based on how secure the people have felt in the governing bodies ability to keep them physically and financially safe and sometimes walled in.
